I'm back from a quick break and somewhat surprised to find that it's October already! Time flies when you're having fun, right?
A few quick announcements here...
Monday Evening Classes at the UN (UN gym members only)
First of all, for those of you who have access to the UN Recreational Gym, the UN has started a class on Monday evenings from 6-7:30. Taught by Amrita, it's a vinyasa flow class open to all levels and especially suited for beginners.
Donations this year to benefit women's safe house
Secondly, I have been musing on how best to use the donations from the Wednesday and Friday yoga classes, and this is what I have come up with. A local NGO runs a women's safe house here in Dili and they are in need of small goods to support women who come in with nothing but the clothes on their backs: clothing, soap, towels, children's clothing, toys. So in the next few weeks I'll be looking to set up a way that our Yoga group can make regular small contributions (in kind) to the shelter.
